We are a small church, with a lot going on.
Our membership decreased following Covid, but we are slowly growing.
We are very community minded; our premises are used for a variety of activities. These vary from activities for the very young, to a chair ballet class for the young at heart!
Church members organise a very busy and popular weekly toddler group, and a very well attended monthly Messy Church where children and their parents join in an afternoon of fun, with a biblical theme. The afternoon ends with a Faith tea. There is usually very little left!!
A monthly coffee morning is also very well attended.
We have a popular, weekly Knit and Natter group. Being a knitter is not essential, some just come to join in the NATTER!! The fellowship is so important.
Sunday morning service is usually led by our minister, Rev Jane Cook, or a Local Preacher. Occasionally it is led by members of the congregation. We enjoy fellowship and coffee following morning Worship.
We regularly worship with our friends from Whitburn and East Boldon.
In these difficult times we have a congregation who are working hard to demonstrate that the Love of God still has a place in the world today.
