Who's who

I'm the Minister with responsibility to lead and care for the churches of High Southwick, New Silksworth and St John's. I bring the experience I've gained from serving very different churches in various parts of the country – and from being involved in the work of charities and organisations in the local communities, too. The foundation of my faith is God's loving acceptance of every person, and Christ's promise to bring us into life that is full and fulfilling.

With my wife, Vanessa, after working in churches in the west of Ireland for many years, I then spent 8 years ministering in Bishop Auckland Co. Durham before moving into the City of Sunderland in 2023. Initially I looked after the Methodist congregations of Castletown, Fulwell and Roker and now also High Southwick, Whitburn and Cleadon Methodist Churches. I champion issues of justice and the environment. Being a friendly chap, I’m always happy to chat over a mug of coffee.
