Holy Week is a special time for reflection and community, and we invite you to join us for a series of meaningful services.
On Maundy Thursday, 2nd April, we’ll come together for Holy Communion at several churches across the circuit. You can join us at Cleadon Methodist Church at 7pm, Fulwell Methodist Church at 6pm, New Silksworth Methodist Church at 2pm, and St John's Methodist Church at 6.30pm for the Last Communion Supper. It’s a wonderful opportunity to share in fellowship and remember the significance of this day.
Good Friday, 3rd April, brings us together in solemn remembrance. Services will be held at Castletown Methodist Church and High Southwick Methodist Church at 3pm, while Roker Methodist Church will host a service at noon and St John's Methodist Church at 11am. We also encourage you to join us at Whitburn Methodist Church for a service at 10.15am, followed by a gathering on Whitburn Village Green at 11am. New Silksworth Methodist Church will share details of their service soon, so keep an eye out for updates!
Finally, on Easter Sunday, 5th April, we’ll celebrate the joy of resurrection with a Sunrise Service at 6.30am at the white lighthouse in Seaburn, led by Rev John & Vanessa Purdy. It's a beautiful way to start the day! For specific times and details about services at each church, please check the Preaching Plan.
Come and join use to celebrate Easter Day!
